Older adults' mental health is commonly overlooked by international organizations and federal governments in English-speaking nations around the world; this significant oversight is evident in the lack of policy and strategies on the topic. Numerous socio-economic factors influence this health system gap, including predominant neoliberalist ideology. This ideology favors private sector competition, which prioritizes profit over citizens' wellbeing.
