Abstract
EVIDENCE-BASED ANSWER Overall, exercise (aerobic, resistance, and oropharyngeal exercise training) slightly reduces obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) severity and daytime sleepiness (SOR: B, meta-analysis of RCTs and case series). Myofunctional therapy alone may produce more substantial reductions in OSA severity and daytime sleepiness (SOR: B, metaanalysis of RCTs and case series).
