Abstract
The article discusses the actual problems of the organization and testing of electrical installations of buildings in private and public institutions. Attention is paid to the most significant factors affecting the quality of work: the current legislation in general and the state procurement system regulated by federal laws 44-FZ and 223- FZ, lack of control by state supervisory authorities, lack of information, logistical and human resources on the part of the customer and some others. The article also discusses the hypotheses and proposals of the Association "Union of Electrical Measuring Laboratories" to change the current practice, the introduction of which could improve the quality of testing and reduce the number of emergency modes of operation of electrical installations of consumers.
