Abstract

Abstract Teacher evaluation has become an integral part of educational activities in the institutions of higher learning in the world. There are practically no surveys that examine how lecturers evaluate their own work. This current survey was conducted in one of the teacher's colleges in Israel. The survey examined 459 courses where the lecturers were requested to evaluate their own courses. From the results we can say that the lecturers, in general, evaluate themselves highly. Comparisons were also made between the lecturer's answers and the student's answers (100 courses) and found only one significant link “the lectures stimulate interest amongst the students”.
