Abstract

Last week, the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee spent almost five hours questioning witnesses about 19 bills, most of them focusing on substance use disorders (SUDs). Two of the bills would reauthorize the block grants for substance abuse and mental illness. Some, but not all, of the bills call for additional funding.
