Abstract
Summary The yields of parent bromide from neutron irradiation of bromoethane, 1:1 -dibromoethane and 1:1:2:2- tetrabromoethane have been measured as a function of either bromine or hydrogen bromide concentration. The results appear to be consistent with those predicted by the "billiard-ball" replacement mechanism.
