Abstract

The investigation on the host preference by the O. horni was carried out in silver oak plantations in December. Maximum litter consumption and host preference were in the order of cattle dung, farm waste, silver oak leaves, finger millet straw, maize straw, eucalyptus bark, eucalyptus leaves, and grass. However, the deposition of subsoil in place of litter consumption was maximum in maize straw, followed by finger millet straw, eucalyptus leaves, silver oak leaves, grass, eucalyptus bark, farm waste, and dung.
