Abstract
Abstract Langmuir–Blodgett films of host–guest complexes were fabricated for the first time using heptakis(6-dodecylamino-6-deoxy-)-β-cyclo-dextrin (1) and 4-(4-dimethylaminophenyl)azobenzoic acid. The guest molecule is included in the cavity of 1 with its long axis perpendicular to the film surface.
