Abstract

The main objective of this paper is to develope a commentary based on two fundamental texts that marked the reflections of the Universal History and the Apocalypse as a consequence of World War I and World War II. Franz Rosenzweig and Carl Schmitt were two authors who tried to understand the state of the World after the destruction that marked their time. Each one from his perspective and carrying with the history of his theological-political traditions, tried to re-think the historical conjuncture of his time from the problematic of the Earth and the Sea. This text will try to reflect on these paths that were intertwined.
