Abstract

This article reviews the literature on wives' reactions to their husbands' unemployment to identify effects that would be of interest to researchers or clinicians and to contribute to the knowledge base on economic functioning and family dynamics. The first part identifies the research evidence, and the second part discusses the implications of the findings.
