Abstract

High-resolution Fourier transform infrared spectra of natural CF3Cl (Freon-13) have been recorded in the region around 1890cm−1 with the purpose of analyzing the ν1+ν2 combination band. The K structure of the P(J) and R(J) manifolds was resolved and identified; the assignment of the rovibrational transitions was extended up to J=75, K=36 for CF335Cl and up to J=50, K=27 for CF337Cl. More than 1700 and 200 lines for CF335Cl and CF337Cl, respectively, were analyzed by a least-squares procedure and reliable spectroscopic parameters were determined for both the isotopomers. Additionally, for the CF335Cl species, the J clusters of the ν1+ν2+ν6−ν6 hot band have been observed and analyzed by a fourth-order polynomial fit.
