Bogdan Murgescu is professor at the University of Bucharest, Faculty of History, and founding director of the Center for Administrative, Cultural and Economic Studies at the Faculty for Administration and Business. His research field is economic and social history, with special focuses on long-term economic performance, institutions and human capital formation. He is the current President of the Romanian Society for Historical Sciences. Jan Sadlak is President of the IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence. He is a fromer Director of UNESCO European Centre for Higher Education (UNESCO-CEPES). His research covers a variety of topics concerning policy on higher education and science.
