Abstract
Bionic lubricant material received widespread attention in the antifouling field because of its dynamic slippery surface, while the micro-nano structures construction to stable film inevitable pose a compromised optical transparency. In this study, we prepare a biomimetic lubrication material with oil-infused nano-reentrant structure. The nano-reentrant structure of the coating eliminates visible light scattering, resulting in high transparency that was comparable to bare glass. Owing to the nanostructure infused by lubricant increase the capillary force required for the liquid to detach from, this transparent material not only display excellent repellency properties, but also improves the stability of lubricated surfaces. Based on its marvelous biocompatibility, we apply it to the endoscopic lenses. Extensive procedures performed in vivo on porcine stomach showed significantly reduced fouling, resulting nearly 100% clarity. We believe that our coatings provide inspiration for the design of next-generation endoscopes used to in lesion diagnosis and treatment.
