Abstract

The Tian–Calvet microcalorimetric method has been improved in order to determine ΔH (O2), the partial molar enthalpy of mixing of oxygen in interstitial solid solutions for compositions O/Ti<1. The results of this study differ substantially from the published data which are discussed. Moreover, it has been possible to determine the composition of the phase boundaries at 1323 K.
