Abstract
The absorptivity of methane diluted in N 2 for the 3.39 μm laser line has been measured in the 290–800 K temperature range. Line-by-line calculations are in good agreement with the experimental data. Tabulations of the temperature dependence of the absorption are given for the 300–2000 K range.
