Abstract
The superconducting properties of twenty-one Y(La)-Ba(Sr)-Cu-O compositions were studied resistively and magnetically. Systematic dc susceptibility data were used to establish part of the phase diagram. Doping and annealing conditions are shown to have a significant effect on superconductivity in this system. Important parameters which characterize the superconducting phase YBa{sub 2}Cu{sub 3}O{sub 7-{delta}} were derived based on resistivity, magnetization and critical field measurements.
