Abstract
Pressure effects on the spin exchange interaction in CdTe/Cd 1− x Mn x Te ( x=0.095, 0.24) single quantum well (SQW) structure with different quantum well widths and bulk Cd 1− x Mn x Te ( x=0.15) were investigated through photoluminescence (PL) measurements under magnetic fields up to 40 T. We took into account a linear magnetization term in the determination of spin exchange parameters from Zeeman shifts of PL peaks. Negative pressure dependence of the exchange constant between the exciton spin and the Mn spin was found for the barrier in the CdTe/Cd 1− x Mn x Te ( x=0.24) SQW structure and Cd 1− x Mn x Te ( x=0.15).
