Abstract

The purpose of this work is the homogeneity problem of trace element (TE) concentrations in bulk living material and how this problem can be solved. The PIXE method was applied to the analysis of elemental concentration of a complete sheep liver. All data were statistically analysed and correlation of the elements is presented. The results show almost 50% variation for individual TE in absolute measurement and 20% for relative concentration measurement of most of the TE such as Cu/K, Cu/Zn, and Zn/K.
