Abstract

Hemichorea is uncommon in cerebrovascular events. Its appearance is in relation to the involvement contra/INS;lateral of the basal ganglia and thalamus. The first patient we presented was a 71-/INS;year-/INS;old female and she developed an acute onset right hemichorea. Her cranial MR imaging (MRI) showed a right putaminal infarction. The second patient was a 70-/INS;year-/INS;old female presented with left hemichorea that developed 15days ago before admission. Her cranial MRI revealed a right basal ganglia infarction.
