Abstract

This article describes the heat transfer characteristics in an annular porous medium subjected to partial heating on inner as well as outer radius of the domain. The bottom half of inner radius along with top half of outer radius are maintained at isothermal temperature Th whereas the top half of inner and bottom half of outer radius is kept at cooler temperature Tc. The other two surfaces are insulated to have an adiabatic condition. The investigation is carried out with respect to ratio of height of annulus to width of medium, the radius ratio. There are two cases being considered with hot and cold surfaces being interchanged as that of first case.
