Abstract

The influence of the nature of doping distribution, its average concentration and crystal thickness on the distribution of spontaneous induction, the distortion of the energy bonds and the behaviour of free energy of barium titanate crystals have been considered. It has been shown that during homogeneous parabolic and Gaussian doping distributions through the crystal thickness, there exist stability intervals of a monodomain state and “head-to-head and tail-to-tail” domains. The nature of the doping distribution also influences the width and energy of the transient regions.
