“Hazamaru Kobo” in KOSEN :

Abstract

In 2019, the multipurpose workshop “Hazamaru Kobo” having two booths was established in the facility. Various kinds of equipment were implemented for creative extracurricular activity for the KOSEN student. The workshop has been managed by technical staffs, and students who have beforehand taken the instruction course to use the workshop safety can utilize the workshop with their strong interests in manufacturing. In order to make sure the effectiveness of the workshop for the creative manufacturing, we interviewed students who used the “Hazamaru Kobo” in the social implementation education class. It was found that KOSEN students have been using the workshop as one of the opportunities to feel the importance of manufacturing with their own idea. Actually, it was also found that “Hazamaru Kobo” is a promising workshop to proceed our social implementation education. It is therefore expected that the extracurricular activity for the self-learning in “Hazamaru Kobo” will lead to the development of innovative human resources that cannot be achieved by classroom lectures alone.
