Abstract

The text discusses the relationship between the type of non-ferrous metal deposits (vein, nest, and heap, concentrated and dispersed) and the formation of the mining landscape in the period from the 12th to the 15th century in Central and Eastern Europe. Th e questions are analysed on the examples from the regions of: Jihlava-Havlickův Brod, Kutna Hora, Olkusz and Zlotoryja. Mining areas are categorised into individual landscape elements: mining and processing zones, towns and castles.
