Abstract

There are few references in the literature to the Guillain-Barre syndrome as a complication of antirabies vaccination. complication of polyneuritis in the Pasteur treatment of rabies is well known. In Remlinger's 1 comprehensive statistical analysis of 234 neuroparalytic accidents, polyneuritis comprised one of the three clinical forms of neurologic complications of the therapy. clinical picture of the polyneuritis is adequately described in the various neurologic texts. Brain 2 emphasized the frequency of involvement of the facial nerve, while Nielsen 3 rather tersely commented, The picture of polyneuritis occurs with rather frequent facial paralysis.
