Abstract
We describe our transcutaneous approach using a nerve stimulator to guide needle insertion and injection to the lateral pterygoid muscle (LPM) with botulinum toxin. This technique increases s the safety and efficacy of the treatmentignificantly. No additional clinical skills or resources are required for the maxillofacial theatre team.
