Abstract

I am forever speaking about the “growth” of the field of sexual medicine. I now have four grandchildren and have a fifth “in the oven” (my daughter who lives in Costa Rica is pregnant with her third child, a boy, our fifth grandchild). I even have one future grandchild “in the freezer”—so more to follow in the future. Since none of the grandchildren currently live in San Diego, I am struck by their physical and emotional growth each time Sue and I visit them on various holidays, birthdays and vacations throughout the year. A sense of growth is more obvious with periodic observations.
