Abstract

Abstract: The chapter begins by providing some of the current applications of grinding of fiber-reinforced polymeric composites, and explains the reasons for the difficulty of using composites as machine components. The problems encountered during the grinding of composites are explained, and the different approaches for addressing these problems are discussed. The various variables affecting the operation are explained in detail. References and further sources of information and advice are also given.
