Abstract

In this paper, a composite integrity evaluation method of the Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) based on the constellation situation, observation conditions, measurement noise and application requirements is proposed. Two indicators are suggested, where Minimal Availability of Integrity (MAI) is used to assess the availability of integrity, and Minimal Detectable Effect Holes Ratio (MDEHR) is used to evaluate the proportion of faulty points which may not meet the necessary applications. The integrity performances of GPS, BeiDou, QZSS, IRNSS and their combined systems are assessed in three simulation scenarios based on different constellations, masking angles, User Equivalent Range Error (UERE), alert limit, spatial and temporal variations by the proposed method respectively. This proposed method has a wider serviceability to many GNSS applications related to navigation integrity. It is fit to evaluate the integrity of the whole GNSS constellation or combination systems.
