Abstract

Temperature and radiation measurements in seven preshot and two postshot reentry drill holes are described. The data indicate the occurrence of large and rapid fluctuations in temperature in the postshot cavity during the measurements. During periods of relatively stable conditions, the temperature in the cavity void were uniform and approximately 95 deg C. A radiation log of one postshot drill sole run primarily to aid in side-wall sampling fixed the approximate upper cavity boundary. (auth)
