Abstract

AbstractThe glass transition temperatures of styrene copolymers containing different amounts of Zn(II), Co(II) and Ni(II) acrylates were determined by differential scanning calorimetry. Based on these data the Tg values of the polyacrylates were estimated by the extrapolation method. The observed dependences of Tg on copolymer composition could be described satisfactorily by the Kwei equation. It may be concluded that in all systems ionic crosslinking of similar efficacy occurs.
