Abstract

The iMBA program at the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management (LFGSM) allows students to participate in a virtual internship program within a simulated manufacturing company. iMBA lets students work in a virtual corporation with real products, customers, competitors, opportunities, and challenges. This immersion-based, virtual reality learning is considered stickier than passive sit back and observe style lectures as students are more emotionally engaged. Because academic learning and virtual internship occur simultaneously students are able to immediately apply the scholastic concepts, enabling them to more rapidly develop and practice critical business skills.
