Abstract

Risk management has become essential for companies that want to achieve their strategic goals and ensure the sustainability of their business. A major challenge faced by organizations is the difficulty in conducting training that contributes to achieving positive results in their corporate processes. Considered one of the People Management tools, Training and Development (T&D) is a valuable initiative for obtaining effective results within institutions. This study analyzed the results of the application of risk management training in a private institution, based on the model developed by Donald Kirkpatrick (2006), under the perspective of analyzing T&D results at four levels: Reaction, Learning, Behavior and Results. This is an observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Data collection occurred through semi-structured interviews with five employees who participated in the T&D program. The survey strategy was used with the application of questionnaires to a sample of 43 participants. It was evident that the investment in T&D for employees contributed to learning about risk management, in addition to enabling the development of new behaviors and skills that did not exist before. It was also an improvement in the levels of transparency and quality of the company's processes.
