Abstract
The basic problem of development is equity to the smallest lines. This homework is not only the responsibility of the village government, but is an obligation for all people. Efforts to increase development need a continuous awareness building, covering various aspects and all parties. For rural people who still have many limitations, a simpler pattern is needed in creating a movement of empowerment. To facilitate development access for the community. Through the process of self-reflection which includes the stages of sensory knowledge, the stage of reasoning, and the stage of the ratio of Gedangsewu UMKM activists can begin to build awareness. All the step are the basis for managing the movement of empowerment based on development morality. With awareness-based activities, activists are able to interpret collective challenges, in order to create common purpose, by strengthening collective solidarity and identity, in order to preserve political resistance from a lifestyle that clings to a system that is rolling. Then efforts need to create independence from the mind to the step of empowerment.

Pembangunan menjadi tolok ukur utama untuk melihat kemajuan bangsa. Tiap negara di dunia berlomba untuk mengambil posisi dalam persaingan bebas yang terbuka lebar bagi semua negara. Hal ini diperlukan kesiapan dari semua pihak, baik pemerintah maupaun masyarakat untuk lebih bijak dalam mengelola sumber daya yang dimiliki. Yakni sumber daya alam berupa hasil perkebunana yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan baku olahan makanan; memiliki jalur lalu lintas yang strategis, sebagai penghubung kota Kediri dengan kabupaten Malang; serta sudah mulai berkembangnya beberapa pabrik, seperti sepatu. Potensi desa ini memberikan stimulus bagi perkembangan kreatifitas dari masyarakat Desa Gedangsewu untuk melahirkan produk unggulan. Adapun kendala yang dihadapi oleh pegiat UMKM diantaranya adalah beberapa UMKM masih memiliki keterbatasan dalam pola managemen modal, peningkatan strategi pemasaran, serta le mahn ya respon pemerintah dalam menang kap potensi masayarakatnya. Namun kendala ini berlahan ditepis dengan upaya aktif dari pegiat UMKM, khususnya para perempuan, untuk menentukan inovasi kreatif sehingga UMKM yang hampir saja punah, kini semakin berkibar dengan spirit baru yang dimiliki oleh para pegiatnya. Tentu ini menjadi potret menarik untuk dikaji, guna mengungkap upaya para perempuan pegiat UMKM bergerak untuk meberdayakan dirinya sendiri di tengan tantangan-tantangan yang dihadapi
