Abstract
Long seismic refraction lines across central and northern Israel, combined with magnetic and gravity investigations, help to define the total thickness of sedimentary rocks and crystalline basement structure. Significant lateral variations in thickness of the infra-Upper Jurassic sediments seem to be related to tectonic movement and may influence possible deposition of early Mesozoic and Paleozoic reservoir rocks.
