Abstract
SummaryGenetic affinities are reported between 6 Hawaiian taxa of Bidens and one species (B. ahnnei) indigenous to the Marquesas Islands. An argument is presented supporting the longdistance dispersal of Bidens from the New World to the Hawaiian Islands, and the later dispersal of this stock to the islands of Southeastern Polynesia.
