Abstract

When torsional stress and AC external magnetic field were applied to Fe-Co-V and Fe-Ni tine wires, pulse voltage of half-amplitude width of approximately 20 μs was induced in a detecting coil wound around to the wire by large Barkhausen effect. As for effective characteristics of the pulse voltage, the pulse amplitude, pulse width doesn't depend on frequency of external magnetic field The unique magnetic sensor based on this phenomenon was developed, and it was in use to flowmeter [I], [2].
