Abstract

The generalized plane couette flow of a polar fluid with suction or injection with a prescribed total angular velocity at the stationary plate has been considered. The effects of variation in the parametersP x andR m characterising respectively the pressure gradient and the total angular velocity on the lower plate has been studied on the velocity and total angular velocity fields. The results have been compared with the corresponding results when there is no prescribed total angular velocity at the stationary plate.
