Abstract

The performance of a generalized likelihood ratio detector based on maximum likelihood parameter estimates for the amplitude, phase, and frequency of a tone in Gaussian white noise is derived. The results apply for arbitrary data record lengths and arbitrary values of amplitude, phase, and frequency. Detector performance is presented for a special case of tone frequency and various data record lengths. >
