This article focuses on the study of fractional integral operators involving the ‐function. Two main theorems are established that present new fractional integral formulas associated with the ‐function. Moreover, several well‐known results related to various special functions can be derived as particular cases by assigning suitable parameter values to the general formulas. The proposed results encompass and extend the fractional integral operators previously investigated by Saxena and Kumbhat, Saigo, Erdélyi‐Kober, and Riemann‐Liouville, thereby providing a broader framework within the theory of fractional calculus and special functions. An important class of fractional differential and integral operators is given by the theory of fractional calculus with respect to functions, sometimes called Ψ‐fractional calculus. The operational calculus approach has proved useful for understanding and extending this topic of study. Motivated by fractional differential equations, we present an operational calculus approach for Laplace transforms with respect to functions and their relationship with fractional operators with respect to functions. This approach makes the generalised Laplace transforms much easier to analyse and to apply in practice. We prove several important properties of these generalised Laplace transforms, including an inversion formula, and apply it to solve some fractional differential equations, using the operational calculus approach for efficient solving.

The study discussed in this article is driven by the realization that many physical processes may be understood by using applications of fractional operators and special functions. In this study, we present and examine a fractional integral operator with an I-function in its kernel. This operator is used to solve several fractional differential equations (FDEs). FDE has a set of particular cases whose solutions represent different physical phenomena. Many mathematical physics, biology, engineering, and chemistry problems are identified and solved using FDE. Specifically, a few exciting relations involving the new fractional operator with incomplete I-function (IIF) in its kernel and classical Riemann Liouville fractional integral and derivative operators, the Hilfer fractional derivative operator, and the generalized composite fractional derivate (GCFD) operator are established. The discovery and investigation of several important exceptional cases follow this.

Wν(t). In recent, the number of works devoted to the study of problems for fractional order differential equations is growing noticeably. The interest of researchers is due to the fact that the number of areas of science in which equations containing fractional derivatives are used varies from biology and medicine to control theory, engineering, finance, as well as optics, physics, and so on. The inclusion of delay in the fractional order equation significantly affects the course of the process described by this equation, since the unknown function is given for different values of the argument, which includes a history effect into the equation. Therefore, mathematical models containing a fractional operator and a delay argument are more accurate than models containing integer derivatives. In this paper, we study the Cauchy problem for a linear ordinary delay differential equation with the Dzhrbashyan – Nersesyan fractional differentiation operator, which is generalizing the Riemann – Liouville and Gerasimov – Caputo fractional operators. The results of the work are obtained using the methods of the theory of integer and fractional calculus, methods of the theory of delay differential equations, the method of special functions. In this paper proves a theorem on the validity of an analogue of the Lagrange formula. It is also proved that the special function Wγm(t), which is defined in terms of the generalized Mittag-Leffler function (or the Prabhakar function), satisfies the equation and conditions associated with the one under study, and is the fundamental solution of the considered equation. The main result is that the existence and uniqueness theorem to the initial value problem is proved. The solution to the problem is written out in terms of the special function Wν(t).

The main object of the present paper is to establish new fractional integral formulas (of Marichev-Saigo-Maeda type) involving the products of the multivariable H-functions and the first class of multivariable polynomials due to Srivastava and Garg. All the results derived here are of general character and can yield a number of (new and known) results in the theory of fractional calculus.

Linear fractional differential equations and eigenfunctions of fractional differential operators

Eigenfunctions associated with Riemann–Liouville and Caputo fractional differential operators are obtained by imposing a restriction on the fractional derivative parameter. Those eigenfunctions can be used to express the analytical solution of some linear sequential fractional differential equations. As a first application, we discuss analytical solutions for the so-called fractional Helmholtz equation with one variable, obtained from the standard equation in one dimension by replacing the integer order derivative by the Riemann–Liouville fractional derivative. A second application consists of an initial value problem for a fractional wave equation in two dimensions in which the integer order partial derivative with respect to the time variable is replaced by the Caputo fractional derivative. The classical Mittag-Leffler functions are important in the theory of fractional calculus because they emerge as solutions of fractional differential equations. Starting with the solution of a specific fractional differential equation in terms of these functions, we find a way to express the exponential function in terms of classical Mittag-Leffler functions. A remarkable characteristic of this relation is that it is true for any value of the parameter n appearing in the definition of the functions, i.e., we have an infinite family of different expressions for $$e^x$$ in terms of classical Mittag-Leffler functions.

Extending Sonine kernels to arbitrary dimensions

The theory of general fractional calculus with Sonine kernels has been well developed by Luchko in the one-dimensional case. Inspired by recent work on Mikusiński’s operational calculus for fractional partial differential operators, we construct a multi-dimensional version of the theory of Sonine kernels, solving a recognised open problem in the field. Starting from a generalised version of the classical Sonine convolution condition, we construct fractional integral and derivative operators in arbitrary dimensions, and examine their properties such as fundamental theorems of fractional calculus. Illustrative examples of the general theory are also included.

Fractional Cauchy Problem in Sense of the Complex Hadamard Operators
  • Jan 1, 2014
  • Rabha W Ibrahim

The theory of fractional calculus has found interesting applications in the theory of analytic functions and geometric functions. We extend the definitions of the Hadamard fractional operators into the open unit disk. A class of nonlinear fractional differential equations (Cauchy-type problem) in the unit disk is studied using these fractional operators. The existence and uniqueness of the solution are established. Some properties of the integral operator are inflict such as boundedness in a space of analytic function and semigroup property. Moreover, we prove that the linear Cauchy problem (homogenous and nonhomogeneous) is solvable in a holomorphic space and its solution approximates to the Mittag–Leffler function. Examples are illustrated.

In this paper we use fractional differential operators to derive a number of key formulas of multivariable H-function. We use the generalized Leibnitz's rule for fractional derivatives in order to obtain one of the aforementioned formulas, which involve a product of two multivariable's H-function. It is further shown that ,each of these formulas yield interesting new formulas for certain multivariable hyper geometric function such as generalized Lauricella function (Srivastava-Dauost)and Lauriella hyper geometric function some of these application of the key formulas provide potentially useful generalization of known result in the theory of fractional calculus.

Certain unified fractional integrals and derivatives for a product of Aleph function and a general class of multivariable polynomials

Saigo and Maeda (Transform Methods and Special Functions, Varna, Bulgaria, pp. 386-400, 1996) introduced and investigated certain generalized fractional integral and derivative operators involving the Appell function . Here we aim at presenting four unified fractional integral and derivative formulas of Saigo and Maeda type, which are involved in a product of ℵ-function and a general class of multivariable polynomials. The main results, being of general nature, are shown to be some unification and extension of many known formulas given, for example, by Saigo and Maeda (Transform Methods and Special Functions, Varna, Bulgaria, pp. 386-400, 1996), Saxena et al. (Kuwait J. Sci. Eng. 35(1A):1-20, 2008), Srivastava and Garg (Rev. Roum. Phys. 32:685-692, 1987), Srivastava et al. (J. Math. Anal. Appl.193:373-389, 1995) and so on. Our main results are also shown to be further specialized to yield a large number of known and (presumably) new formulas involving, for instance, Saigo fractional calculus operators, several special functions such as H-function, I-function, Mittag-Leffler function, generalized Wright hypergeometric function, generalized Bessel-Maitland function. The theory of fractional analysis has been a focal point of fascination for scientists in mathematical science, given its essential definitions, properties, and applications in handling real-life problems. In the last few decades, many mathematicians have shown their considerable interest in the theory of fractional calculus and convexity due to their wide range of applications in almost all branches of applied sciences, especially in numerical analysis, physics, and engineering. The objective of this article is to establish Hermite-Hadamard type integral inequalities by employing the k-Riemann-Liouville fractional operator and its refinements, whose absolute values are twice-differentiable h-convex functions. Moreover, we also present some special cases of our presented results for different types of convexities. Moreover, we also study how q-digamma functions can be applied to address the newly investigated results. Mathematical integral inequalities of this class and the arrangements associated have applications in diverse domains in which symmetry presents a salient role.

Fractional operators with homogeneous kernel on the Calderón product of Morrey spaces
  • Jul 15, 2024

We investigate fractional operators with homogeneous kernel in Morrey spaces. In particular, we prove that fractional integral operators and fractional maximal operators with homogeneous kernel are bounded from the Calderón product of Morrey spaces to certain Morrey spaces. Our results can be seen as a generalization of a recent result on the relation between the boundedness of (classical) fractional operators and interpolation of Morrey spaces. What is new about this paper is not only the passage from the classical fractional integral operators to the rough integral operators. Even the case of fractional integral operators, handled in earlier papers, is significantly simplified.

Certain Fractional Integral and Differential Formulas Involving the Extended Incomplete Generalized Hypergeometric Functions
  • Jan 1, 2019
  • Praveen Agarwal + 3 more

The fractional integral and differential operators involving the family of special functions have found significant importance and applications in various fields of mathematics and engineering. The goal of this chapter is to find the fractional integral and differential formulas (also known as composition formulas) involving the extended incomplete generalized hypergeometric functions by using the generalized fractional calculus operators (the Marichev–Saigo–Maeda operators). After that, we established their image formulas by using the integral transforms like: Beta transform, Laplace transform and Whittaker transform. Moreover, the reduction formulas are also considered as special cases of our main findings associated with the well-known Saigo fractional integral and differential operators, Erdelyi-Kober fractional integral and differential operators, Riemann-Liouville fractional integral and differential operators and the Weyl fractional calculus operators.
