Abstract
The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the personality of terrorists and the problems of punishment and execution of punishments against persons who have committed terrorist crimes. Gender differences and psychological characteristics of the terrorists' personality are considered. Special attention is paid to the psychological and criminological features of female terrorists. Gender differences were revealed on the basis of generalization of materials of judicial and investigative practice, sociological surveys among various categories of the population. The purpose of the study is to formulate proposals for improving legislation in the field of sentencing and execution of punishments against persons who have committed terrorist crimes. Based on the study of the gender psychological and criminological characteristics of terrorists, the directions of improving the system of sentencing and execution of punishment against persons who have committed crimes of a terrorist orientation are determined.
