Abstract

The gaseous pvT property of R1243zf pure fluid was measured by the Burnett method from (313.15 to 403.15) K. Then, gaseous pvTx properties of the R152a + R1243zf and R125 + R1243zf binary mixtures were measured from (343.15 to 383.15) K. The root mean square deviation (RMSD) of density for R1243zf pure fluid was 0.8% compared to the calculated values in REFPROP 10.0. Thus, the three-term truncated virial equation of state (EoS) was established to accurately describe the gaseous pvTx properties of R1243zf and its mixtures. The RMSD of density calculated from virial EoS were 0.04%, 0.08%, and 0.04% for the R1243zf pure fluid, R152a + R1243zf, and R125 + R1243zf binary mixtures. The three-term truncated virial EoS showed a good effect on the calculation of pvTx properties for R1243zf and its mixtures below 50% critical density.
