Abstract
A shallow seismic reflector of anomalous. high amplitude cuts through dipping layers of Late Palaeocene age in the southern Barents Sea. The seismic event is observed on a high-resolution, multi-channel seismic profile as well as on conventional deep seismic lines. The anomaly is situated at a depth of 525 m below sea-level and 180 m below sea-bottom (water depth is 345 rn).
