Abstract
The results of measurements of the rates of oxygen uptake and the formation of gaseous products at the initial stage of the oxygen and air plasma surface treatment of a poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PETP) fabric are reported. It was found that the kinetic behavior of gas formation and oxygen consumption in both oxygen and air plasmas were qualitatively similar, and they did not differ from analogous relationships for PETP films.
