Abstract

Main principles used in working out the procedure and computer programs for quasi-spatial calculation of the flow path of steam turbines designed on the basis of gas dynamic studies that had been carried out previously are described. Some examples are given to illustrate the possibilities of using the computer programs in constructing new and modernizing existing steam turbines for making them more efficient by optimizing the geometrical characteristics of their stages.
