Abstract

Soliton-like excitations with frequencies in the gap of a linear spectrum ar considered for a new type of nonlinear LC circuit recently introduced by S. Ishiwata et al . [J. Phys. Soc. Jpn. 59 (1990) 1163]. A nonlinear capacitor whose capacitance depends on the square root of the voltage in the shunt branch is composed of two diodes connected in series but inversely with each other. Numerical results are obtained which show the existence of a new class of localized solitary signals.
