Abstract

This paper introduces a novel H∞ loop shaping design procedure for linear parameter-varying (LPV) plants. The originality of the proposed approach stems from the extension of the notion of left coprime factorizations to LPV systems which involves solving a special H2 filtering problem. Existence conditions for full and static order LPV loop shaping controllers are given in terms of linear matrix inequalities. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is illustrated on a famous missile example.
