Abstract
In this study, the effect of chemical composition and heat treatment on cavitation erosion resistance of Ti-Ni weld overlays using pure metal powders is discussed. The weld overlays were fabricated in our laboratory by using a weld overlay apparatus. Cavitation erosion tests were earned out on specimen with different compositions and Ti50-Ni50 after heat treatment with different time periods. The resistances are discussed and compared with that of specimen without heat treatment, Ti-Ni shape memory alloy using alloy powders and austenitic stainless steel SUS304.
