Abstract
The routing protocol in the underwater wireless sensor network is very challenging over the traditional network. Sensor nodes are placed in a specified location with their limited energy and hence the performance of the networks is affected like network lifetime and successful packet delivery. Most of the time idle sensor nodes are emitted battery power and when any target is found at that time nodes are not capable of sense and forward ability. To overcome this situation, we proposed a model for fuzzy based cluster head selection that enhances the lifetime of the network. After that we have designed a fuzzy based routing protocol which improves the packet delivery rates significantly. In compared with the existing routing protocol, we have proper utilization of energy consumption and hens it extends the overall performance of the network to overcome challenges in underwater.
