Abstract

The possibility of attaining 2H( 2H, n) 3He fusion in the metallic phase of deuterium is examined further. This scheme is based on the finite valuedness of the radial distribution at zero argument for an aggregate of charged bosons in a neutralizing background. Large deuteron wavefunction overlap is theoretically implied in the stable metallic liquid phase at r s⪅0.21.
