Abstract

US-based FuelCell Energy has announced a contract with Canadian oil sands company Cenovus Energy, to complete the preliminary front-end design and engineering (pre-FEED) for siting a molten carbonate fuel cell system to capture CO2 from flue gas. The system would be at an existing 14 MW natural gas-fired turbine cogeneration facility at the University of Calgary in Alberta.
